Zach Johnson, the “Millennial Farmer” is a 5th-generation farmer who’s spent his life growing, working, and learning on his family’s farm. His wit and dry sense of humor appeal to children and adults alike. A product of the millennial generation, his appreciation of new technology blends with his old-fashioned work ethic, and he offers a unique ability to deliver his message in a way that resonates with lifelong farmers as well as those with no knowledge of agriculture.
With growing consumer awareness about where their food comes from, Zach has identified the need for an independent voice from the front lines of agriculture. Zach actively promotes agriculture by sharing his day-to-day experiences in the agriculture world while providing farmer-to-farmer education to help facilitate a collaborative conversation between farmers and the public.

  1. I was with my friend and his as a young child at my first auction. I was putting my hand up to block the Sun out of my eyes when my friends dad told me to not do that because the auctioneer might think I’m bidding. I know now he just didn’t want to pay for anything I mistakenly bid on. 🤣

  2. Hahaha I love farm auctions you missed one. The local guy that knows you and sees you bidding because you make EYE contact he'll just stand there running up the bid knowing how bad you need it. just running the price up. Then comes up to you later oh I didn't know that was you Alex I would have stopped bidding a long time ago…. Yeah you quit farming 10 years ago Norman YOU LOOKED RIGHT AT ME! WHY WOULD YOU EVEN NEED A DAGUM FEED GRINDER YOU DON'T HAVE ANIMALS…..

  3. Best Actor Award goes to the Restless Kid who walks into the implement. Excellent job with the editing Becky. You're the best, regardless of what Zach says.

  4. That's why I don't go to auctions. Yet sitting down with those people at an poker table and walking away with their money is way more fun.

  5. That was pretty hilarious. For a minute there I thought the guy around the 3 minute mark had an In n Out Burger hat. But alas, I recalled this is in Minnesota.

  6. My favorite is the "I'm sitting on it, so I'm buying it" guy….this was classic 90's…it has been replaced by "sold to the internet" guy…

  7. We went to the Wulf Cattle Auction in our AG class in highschool. We were sitting way in the back and my buddy saw our other friend walk in so he waved to him to let him know where we were sitting. His wave was taken as a $5500 bid on a Bull they were selling.

  8. I lived in Wisconsin during in the mid 80s. Every day that summer an auction a day. People were mad. It was so sad. This was during a run on foreclosures
