  1. Bob Mackie is a creative genius, I’m obsessed with his designs and I hope one day I can come up with iconic designs like him. Loved his outfits he did with Cher!!!

  2. yabba dabba daba…OK, HOW MUCH?
Poor Marilyn…She did it all and all they did was to Squeeze her even more and juice her to that last drop! Even after her death!! Years years later!!!

  3. BLESS HER HEART I VISITED HER RESTING PLACE SHE HAD SO MANY KISS MARKS ON IT. I WISH SHE COULD HAVE BEEN LOVED THIS WAY WHEN SHE WAS ALIVE SHE MIGHT HAVE BEEN WITH US A LITTLE LONGER.

  4. It would be very interesting to know what went through Jackie Keneddy's head when Marilyn stepped out in that spectacular barely-there dress to serenade her husband.

  5. I'm trying to find the source, but I read that there was going to be some kind of tribute of JFK in September of 1962, and that Jackie was going to be there. MM planned on attending, and even ordered another $6,000.00 (in 1960s dollars) to create a fantastic dress for her to wow the occasion (as she did at his birthday bash). I wonder if Jackie would have pulled out of the event when she found out that MM was going to be there.

  6. Miss Norma Jean-baker was a beauty model who then took up acting, she was born in America to Europeans but had her infant, child and teen education all in America and is better known as Famous Marilyn Monroe giving dressmakers, fabric designers, and artist instructions on how to make a dress for her that showcase her best display of the outfits that she wears on set in any, on stage song and dance play because the thick warm over coat was taken away from her body by the gentle man on stage with her for that really very short song number on stage HAPPY BIRDAY in the 1960's America. @ – http://www.google.com

  7. I was hoping to have a curator from the auction house speak about the fabric selection and the fittings etc. Why? Because this is it’s provenance detail. Instead, it marketing for the auction house. I too agree that all her stunning gowns, her piano etc would be best retained in a museum.

  8. Even in death half a century later, people are still using her to make millions off her. The respectable thing would've been to donate it to a museum, where Hollywood history and MM's mark in it could be appreciated by all. RIP MM
