Manjrekar said SRH was looking like bottom of the table team at the auction just like Wasim jaffer and other 'experts'. I'll take anything these norm discussing experts with a grain of salt. Leaving out Ravi Sastri.

Main yeh nhii keh rha ki yeh dono players value for money nhi hain but 1 or 2 players can't let you win all matches aur deepak toh injury kae karan bahar ho gaya aur inkae purae strategy ki lanka laagayie woh delhi waalae chacha nae faaltu ka daam badaa diya playerss ka which cost them their weak bowling line up…

Yuji Chahal was in the auction man, if mi had taken him, all this would not have happened
I don't know what happened to bumrah he just bowls yorkers and slower bowls whether he is bowling in powerplay or at the death he do not back his ability to move the ball at all that's why Indian team is also struggling to get wickets in powerplay.
Surprised the so called experts didn't mention about the missing life in MI spin department. They are looking completely clueless in the middle overs because they don't have quality spinner who can contain runs or put pressure. All the successful teams have better spinners than them
Nobody is talking about Pollard. He's done for good and he's not an asset to any team.
Mumbai's bowling attack is not good
Bdw I think this bad auction will be blessing in disguise for next year auction.
They missed the trick I guess by going for Ishan at so High, They could have got either Qdk and if not him then Jhonny Bairstow/bhanuka Rajapaksa and Mohammad Shami. They certainly would have got both of them around 13cr additional 2 & half crore for guys like Mustafizur Rahman /Kuldeep Yadav. This would have helped them to be better side than they're at the moment. Delhi Capitals were too wise to get 4 quality players David Warner, Mitch Marsh, Mustafizur Rahman and kuldeep who are all potential starter in any team of the world and all combined at 16.75 cr .
1.25 cr more than they paid for Ishan kishan.
Mi 4 overseas player should be Pollard,Tim David,Riley Meredith,Tymal Mills.Ravi yadav should play for one of Basil Thampi/unadkat

brevis instead of tim was a too early call for me …also mills as well even through he wentfor 9 per over he was taking wickets atleast 2 permatch …which no other bowler was doing in the line up …. i defenitely think they should give chance to sanjay yadav in that side , he is a bit like krunal left arm spin and striking down the order as well…. next thing i think is tilak should bat at no 3 he is in touch so let him go early and settle himself surya can handle no 4 &5 postions easlily he is experienced …
MOST IMPORTANT THING IVER ALL THESE IS THE ATTITUDE CHANGE …NEED THAT OLD FEARLESS MI WITH HIGH CONFIDENCE ON THEIR TEAM ,SHOTS , DECISIONS ….
Next match team rohit, ishan, db, sky, t varma, pollard, j unatkad, murgan ashwin, tills, r meridian, j bhumra they only go with 6 batsman and 5 proper bowlers otherwise they can't defend 200+ against Punjab and any other team
Mumbai is done and dusted.
Stick with a team. Rohit Kishan Sky Tilak David Pollard Sanjay Meredith Mills Murugan Bumrah.
Strengthen the bowling and put more onus on batsmen to do their jobs.
Believe me 15.25 for ishan was more next auction they should put ishan on auction again for 10-12 cr

I Believe MI is playing defensive cricket. They are thinking let’s get few more batsmen to score more to support the bowlers. They need to change there tactics. They need to attack from the bowling side. They have to attack with Bumrah in the power play instead of keeping him for the end. Also Bring Riley Meredith to support Bumrah in the power play. Maybe one of them can bowl 3 overs. Then bring Tymal Mills or Daniel Sams as the 3 fast bowler who can bowl in the middle and 1 over at the end with Brumah and Meredith. Since they don’t have any good spin option use Unakat as attacking bowler in the middle with Murigan Ashwin. Pollard and Tilak Verma can help with few overs if someone having bad day. Only then they can turn things around. Also they need to think of batting second so they know what is the target. That way Bowlers are restricting with attacking and batsmen are pacing an good innings. If they do all that only then they can think about winning some games and maybe qualify. Later during the tournament they can bring Fabian Alan and Mayank Markande into the 11 in place of 3rd fast bowler Tymal Mills/Daniel Sams and Unadkat to change the 11. So I recommend for now they need to go with:
Rohit Sharma(c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Dewald Brevis, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Kieron Pollard, Daniel Sams/Tymal Mills, Murugan Ashwin, Jaydev Unadkat, Jasprit Bumrah, Riley Meredith.
Later during the tournament to increase Spin Options I recommend for they should go with:
Rohit Sharma(c), Ishan Kishan (wk), Dewald Brevis, Suryakumar Yadav, Tilak Varma, Kieron Pollard, Fabian Alan, Murugan Ashwin, Myank Markande, Jasprit Bumrah, Riley Meredith.
I would prefer to wait a bit more. Out of two losses we have a Cummins blitz & a Chahal magic spell. I won't be surprised if Mumbai turn up the heat….. Just that they need to have a bit more patience with players…..
Problem for mi csk is when they buy their players in past years their price was small and now price of that players is too big
Like chahar and thakur in2018 or ishan and sky or rutu in 2020 but now they are match winnera so thats why they failed to retake their key playera like faf , qdk, shardul
Cahar+ qdk+Trent Bolt+ krunal would have costed similar to Tim David+ Ishan+ Daniel sams and they could still get Archer it would have been almost same Mumbai core with Jofra making it extremely lethal.

What's really wrong is the batting depth. As a consequence, Kishan and Rohit are playing slow. They need to play more all rounders. And try to score big in every game, to cover up for the weak bowling.
